Meet the founder of
Significant Educators
Eric Sigman
Significant Educators was founded by Eric Sigman, first informally in 2004 and later formally established in 2020.
What began as one-on-one support for students grew into something more during the COVID pandemic, when Eric saw firsthand how many students needed consistent, reliable academic guidance beyond what schools could provide.
Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his impact on students and learning, including honors such as Teacher of the Year Semi-Finalist and Spotlight Teacher in Stamford, Connecticut.
Eric has earned tenure in multiple districts, collaborated with the College Board, worked alongside contributors to the Common Core, and has been featured on NPR.
At the core of his work is a belief that students thrive when they feel supported, understood, and confident in their ability to learn.
That belief continues to guide everything we do at Significant Educators.
